ASCD introduces four new courses to popular PD Online series

ASCD has added four new courses to PD Online, the company's series of professional development courses for educators.

The four new PD Online courses are
  1. The Art and Science of Teaching—ASCD author Robert Marzano uses 10 design questions to guide educators through practical, user-friendly applications of the most current research.
  2. Understanding by Design: An Introduction—UbD™ authors Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe provide a framework that effectively supports teachers in guiding students beyond facts and details to deeper, more relevant levels of understanding.
  3. 
  4. Response to Intervention: An Introduction—RTI provides educators with structured implementation of strategies that support personalized learning for all students.
  5. Formative Assessment: Deepening Understanding—Formative assessment provides educators with a range of best practices that translate ongoing, relevant student feedback into focused learning.
With a flexible, multimedia design and a deep course catalog, the PD Online series supports the needs of almost any type and size of learning group-from individual learners and small professional learning communities to districtwide professional development, and integration into university courses and programs, according to the announcement.
