UW-Green Bay to offer new course for online educators

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Division of Outreach and Adult Access will offer a new online course for educators designed to satisfy the educational requirements for teaching online.

The course, “Teaching and Learning in Online Environments,” will provide educators with experience as online learners and the skills necessary to meet the National Standards for Quality Online Teaching. Educators will also examine and experience differences in an online environment as compared to a face-to-face classroom.

The online course begins Feb. 7, 2011 and is available as a two-credit, eight-week course or a three-credit, ten-week course. It is not only open to educators teaching online courses in public schools but also to anyone who is considering teaching an online course at any level.
The deadline for registration is January 17, 2011.
